An adventure awaits on the river! This spring we will hold a canoeing adventure weekend for adults to enjoy the beauty of the Shenandoah river. Gathering for orientation and opening worship on Friday, May 15th and then spending the next two days on an overnight canoe trek.

Participants Must be 18 years old or older, unless accompanied by an adult. Participants must also be able to paddle a canoe for a few hours at a time- moderate to high activity level.

Cost per person is $135 for the whole weekend-food, lodging and adventure included!

Schedule:

  • Friday May 15th
    • Eat Prior to Arriving at Camp
    • Gather at 5pm, set up gear in Cedar Cove
    • Do Canoe Orientation on Lake and Pack Vehicles for Next Day
    • Evening Vespers and Game Time
  • Saturday May 16th
    • Continental Breakfast/Biscuits
    • Travel to Luray for Canoe Drop
    • Drop Off Crew, Canoes and River Gear, Take Overnight Gear and Trailer to Drop Zone
    • Once Guide Return from Dropping Off Vehicles- We hit the river
    • Canoe Time
    • Stop by 3-4pm at Overnight location
    • Set up Camp and Cook Dinner
    • Vespers and enjoy the evening
  • Sunday May 17th
    • unload canoes and river gear
    • take the trailer to final location
    • break camp and make breakfast, pack lunches
    • pack up all over night gear in follow vehicle
    • hit the river
    • travel to lunch stop, swim and hit the river
    • out of the river by 2pm
    • on the road by 2:30
    • Return to camp at the latest by 4:00pm
    • Unload gear and closing.
