Junior Staff @ Brethren Woods
Brethren Woods has a Jr. Staff program for 15-17 year olds to work at leadership development, one part of our camp mission. This program teaches leadership skills and allows participants to spend time at camp learning what it means to be on staff and helping to run the summer camp program. Past Jr. Staff have had an incredible experience and played a vital role in the success of each summer.
Plus, we offer Jr. Staff a 50% discount off any of our Senior High Camps, so you can still spend a week as a camper too!

Important Details
Applications & Interviews
The application and interview process is an important part of our Junior Staff program- the Junior staff candidates will be vetted by our leadership team and Program Director through an in-person or online interview. This can be a great learning opportunity for the candidates, as many of them have not had to interview for a role before
Spring Training Weekend
Each Spring we hold a critical training weekend of all of the Junior Staff for the upcoming season. During this training the team sets goals, participates in fun and informative training and plans for their summer at camp.
What is the Commitment as a Junior Staff?
- Attend a spring training weekend: Friday, May 1nd 6pm - Sunday May 3rd 6pm
- Serve at Brethren Woods for at least two weeks of our summer camp program (As a Jr. Counselor, Support Staff, or Crafts, Nature, Kitchen or Maintenance Assistant)
- Attend a program reunion and evaluation session (likely in early September)
