Can my child come to a camp that is not age appropriate?

Brethren Woods carefully develops activities and curriculum to be grade level specific. For example, Junior Camp is designed for 3rd – 5th graders, Junior High Camp for 6th – 8th graders, etc. We have found that often, a child that is younger than the specified grade is not ready for the activities, length of stay, housing assignments, etc that go hand-in-hand with that camp. Therefore, we do not allow a younger child to attend a camp designed for older children.

However, we will make exceptions if a child who is one grade older wishes to attend a camp for younger children in order to be with a friend or family member. (For example a 6th grader would like to be cabin-mates with a friend in the 5th grade and wants to come to Junior Camp rather than Junior High Camp with his/her friend.)
